Care instructions
- It is very important to keep you jewelry dry. Never bath, swim, spray perfume or put lotion on the jewelry. Remove jewelry before exercising. Chemical reactions with chlorine and other elements can damage or tarnish the jewelry.
- Remove jewelry before bed. Store jewelry away from sunlight in a jewelry box or airtight bag. Direct sunlight can discolor the piece and oxygen can cause oxidation.
- Apply makeup, hairspray and lotion before putting on your jewelry. These products may contain harsh chemicals that can damage your jewelry over time.
- Store your chunkier necklaces flat, not hanging.
- Clean each piece after every use with a soft dry cloth. This helps to remove dust and natural skin oils that can damage the piece.
What is Gold-Filled?
Gold-filled jewelry is a much higher quality than gold plated. Gold Filled jewelry is very durable and will not chip or turn colors.
With proper care, it can last many years. It is also safe for those with metal allergies. Gold jewelry can react with chlorine. Never take your gold jewelry into a pool or spa.
What is Sterling Silver?
Sterling silver is a porous metal that will tarnish over time as it is exposed to oxygen.
Use a polish cloth to wipe away tarnish. Store jewelry away from sunlight in an airtight jewelry box or jewelry bag. Direct sunlight can discolor the piece and oxygen can cause oxidation.
